Online counselling is opening up a world of healing for those who may not otherwise be able to see a therapist due to remote locations, accessibility concerns, or just the hectic schedule of a busy family/work life. Hanit Therapy offers accessibility to high-quality mental health psychotherapy services for all Ontario residents.
In order to learn how to manage feelings of depression, anxiety, etc., one must identify thoughts and behaviours that influence mood through the process of guided discovery. Guided discovery is a collaborative approach where the client and therapist work as scientists to differentiate fiction (negative thoughts) from fact (evidence that disputes the negative thoughts). This then paves the way for positive emotional and behavioural change; thereby, empowering the client to make a decision as to what he/she would like to do with the new information that lies at the very core of his/her suffering. Hanit is also flexible and methodically employs other evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches of conducting a comprehensive clinical assessment and developing an effective treatment plan.

Q1- Which psychotherapy/counselling is best for treating anxiety and depression?
At Hanit Therapy we believe that when treating anxiety and depression, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) is quite successful. The psychotherapist will guide you through several methods of recognising and managing the causes of your anxiety and depression throughout CBT therapy.
Q2- How does talk therapy help with depression?
Your therapist teaches you how to alter your thoughts and behaviours for the better. Interpersonal therapy helps you improve your connections by focusing on how you relate to others.
Q3- How do therapists help people with depression?
A therapist will hear you out without passing judgment. They can assist you in exploring, naming, and accepting your emotions. They may also encourage you as you develop your coping mechanisms, as well as other strategies and self-care practices.
Q4- Why is my teen angry?
A certain amount of moodiness that increases during adolescence is normal. Teenagers react to stimuli and process emotions differently than children do because of the hormonal changes that occur throughout puberty and adolescence.
Q5- What is anger management counselling?
Therapy for anger management seeks to reduce stressful or angry circumstances, enhance self-control, and support healthy emotional expression.
Q6- Can CBT be used in couples therapy?
Couples therapy using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) has been proven to be quite beneficial. If you and your partner are considering going to therapy, you might want to seek a professional couples therapist who practices CBT.
Q7- How is CBT effective for couples?
Through CBT, partners may rethink damaging beliefs that might be causing friction in their relationship, enhance communication, and promote rewarding relationship behaviours.
Q8- What is emotionally focused therapy?
The therapeutic method known as emotion-focused therapy (EFT) is founded on the idea that emotions are essential to identity. Emotions, according to EFT, may also serve as guidance for personal decision-making. This kind of treatment makes the assumption that not being emotionally aware or repressing negative feelings may be harmful.
Q9- How effective is Cognitive-Processing Therapy (CPT) for healing complex trauma in couples?
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can be effectively treated with cognitive processing therapy (CPT). CPT might be particularly beneficial for persons who have PTSD since it concentrates on assisting people to regulate and understand their emotions.
